Two things there haven't been around here in awhile...

Post by Ho »

1) A news post
2) New photo albums

This post remedies both conditions!

September 30: GFDM V4 Location Test
September 29: Post-USPF Noraebang
September 29: USPF 2007
September 28: USPF 2007
June 30: Bowlmani Festival '07
June 29: Bowlmani Festival '07
March 20: Ten Buck Tuesday
March 2: Putt-Putt Golf & Games

Obviously I've been sitting on several of these for quite awhile. But at least now 2007 has as many albums as 2006 did. I guess I've been kind of lazy about taking pictures these past couple years. And this year I've been more focused on video.

That blanket I found in my truck is in like half of the fort wayne pictures. Awesome, a piece of cloth I found in my truck is more famous on IndyDDR than me.

I still have Indy Groove photos from July 25. I've just been jacking around and never sent them to you.

Fun fact: only 3 posts at IndyDDR.com contain the word "boop."

I had noticed that past years' photo groups were far more frequent than recently. If we have our own photos / videos from an event, what's the best way to share those albums with you to get them in the archive?

Let me give it some thought. I used to have a system, but almost no one ever used it. I'll try to think something up to make things easy for everyone involved. BTW, are you wanting to link to photos that already exist online or are you wanting to submit photos that would be stored here.

Meanwhile, I just noticed that, with the addition of the new albums, more than half of 2007's albums are pictures taken outside of Indiana.

Is that a question or a suggestion? Either way, I don't think I understand what you're getting at.

There are two possibilities here:

1) Linking to photos that people have elsewhere online.

This is easy enough to do, but it does not guarantee availability or any sort of a consistent presentation.

2) Getting pictures to me to be stored and presented here on IndyDDR.com.

This is my preferred option, but there is the matter of getting the pictures to me (either via FTP, email, or some other means) and there is some processing involved with getting them to display in the photo albums here. I wrote those scripts years ago, and they're not particularly flexible. The names of the files I receive can definitely make the process much easier or a royal pain in the butt.

It was a suggestion but if you have the system from the old site still around, that sounds better.
