Snow day

How the fuck do you have a snow day when there is literally no snow on the ground this morning? I could have gone outside with no coat on today. Hell, there wasn't even any frost on my car this morning.

OK it JUST started snowing here but there's nothing on the ground yet. Actually it started snowing about an hour ago, I started this post at 10am but got sidetracked at work. Still nothing on the ground.

When I was in school if driving conditions were good at 6:30am then we made school happen.

Riot do you remember that one day, you might have still been at Summit, where we got to leave at like 12:30pm because the roads were going to get instabanged at around the time school got out. Man, that was the only time in my life that happened, they announced it during my lunch period and everyone went ballistic when when we heard the news.

Yeah vaguely, though I remember something like that happening when I was in like 10th grade... Most schools close if roads are bad in the morning, but if we know ahead of time that it's going to be particularly crappy out when school is getting out, sometimes they'll just call it ahead of time that way we don't have chaos trying to pick them up from school with buses/parents/new drivers.
