Wait, a morally responsible and uplifting post from our resident Troll?

It's not the real Riot! One of those body snatchers got him!

Not sure I agree.

It isn't like a video game site or anything.

Thanks, but I realize that The Consumerist isn't a video game site. I actually wasn't even referring to video games at all.

I meant that surveys such as that one don't exactly result in an objective result, considering that the "worst company in America" is completely subjective. So the result is less telling of what the worst company in America is and more about the values of The Consumerist's readership and what they find important.

I'm a bit out of the loop as to the current exact criticisms of EA are. Last I heard they were primarily being criticized for overworking employees and nickel-and-diming customers with DLC. This says to me that the readers of The Consumerist find that overworking programmers and relying too much on DLC is more important (and thus considered worse) than other companies that may or may not be dishonest and contribute to the destruction of the environment, financial system, and/or public health.

This award couldn't be more subjective. Even still, the title carries a lot of weight. Sure, there are certainly more evil companies out there, but this is basically a summation of who had the most public backlash in any given year.

2006 Halliburton
2007 RIAA Halliburton
2008 Countrywide Financial
2009 AIG
2010 Comcast
2011 BP
2012 Electronic Arts

I love little bracketed vote tournaments. We should have one for IndyDDR.

EDIT: The http://www.gamefaqs.com/ poll today sort of addresses the same point you'd brought up, or at least tries to put some reality around it.

I think this is the site he met her on.
But there are a bazillion "bbw dating sites" if you search for them. There was also one that was advertised on Comedy Central, but I forgot what it was called.

Pretty much, yeah. It's the "Who got the worst PR this year!" award.

And that GameFAQs poll's results make a very nice bell curve with "They're bad, but there are many who are much worse 42.75%" winning out by a wide margin, thankfully.

MARBLECAKE
ALSO
THE

Yeah. The internet just does its thing. Everyone knows there are worse businesses. I really don't like EA, though.

You can take quick glances at people's profiles.

"I'm fat and I love it! :) I am a cake assassin!..."
That cake didn't even see it coming.

"Just looking to chat with some chubby, sweaty piggies, male or female. If this sounds good then message me and I'll reply :3."
This one sounds like something Riot would post.

"hi. i'm a big lass from the uk. i like cats and listening to 'obscure' music. my life revolves around socialising and having fun. i don't care for responsibilities... or sport."
I believe she is telling the truth.

So hop on, friends. You have a buffet of BBWSSBWSBs to choose from with names like GrowingBelly666, WhoAteAllThePies, BiggerFatter, fatfatfat2, and bellychubster.

If I had a profile, my name would be diabeatoff.

As a fat person let me just say that I do not understand the attraction to obese people.

I mean, I'm not saying everyone should have 2% body fat or anything, I like a good natural look! But when the belly starts to hang over the belt it may be time to consider some self-improvement, your heart will thank you!

Gawd dawmit Mass Effect was a great series. It got better as it went and the third game was so good.

I thought this was one of the most powerful scenes in the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzTLDl1ul2A From like 1:00 on. The way he's always singing his little songs throughout the game and then this one really got me =(

Spoilers yeah yeah if you're not gonna play the game then who cares?

About to start Xenoblade. Probably gonna get really mad at the Wii's limitations and how an otherwise good game could have been ten times better on a different system. I'm also going in with the expectation that I'll probably agree with this review: http://kotaku.com/5898947/xenoblade-chr ... aku-review I'm sure it's a great game, but people seem to be hyping it and treating it like its the best thing to happen to JRPGs in 15 years. I've played so many JRPGs in the last few years that I've enjoyed a lot, so I'm probably going to be looking for things that other games have done better the whole time. Over the last few years, I've gotten much more fond of a focus on narrative (which is why I don't mind linearity and don't whine about games like FF13) instead of hours upon hours of random sidequests. I do like some side stuff as long as it's important, but I'm a little wary of sooo many sidequests in Xenoblade and a giant world. I always feel too inclined to have to do every little side thing because I'm a completionist a lot of times.
