Played tonight. I'm not following the very beginning of Insertion. I can't seem to link up what I'm hearing and what I'm seeing. I usually miss or get at least one good in that opening sequence. The eighth notes after the break also seem really random to me.
At any rate, I was able to get a 594 with a full combo and a 596 with 1 good and 1 miss. I will, atypically, take the higher score. I'll have to try this song again. Maybe I'm tired or just missing something tonight.

The beginning of Insertion is the exact same as the beginning of Max300, timing wise. Maybe even arrow wise for a bit, but definitely timing if I remember.
The weird shit at the beginning goes with the little snare hits which, I agree, are a little hard to hear and are pretty awkward to step especially right at the beginning of the song. The 8th note shit right after the freeze is exactly the same rhythm in the singles chart which I have played a *lot* so that part wasn't too bad for me. The thing to remember about those eight notes is that the tempo does not change at all while you're stepping them and you need to mentally block the audio out since it does not go at all with the rhythm of those notes.
Yeah. That's my problem with those 8th notes. There's nothing at all hard about them except that they don't go with anything in the song. Also, the song isn't really doing much at that point, so it's hard to judge the tempo, too. I guess I've just gotta turn on my mental click track.
Yeahhhhhhh. The doubles chart kind of sucks at that part since you're doing this weird little pattern from the 1P side to the 2P side. The singles chart is much easier at that part since you literally just have to rock back and forth between the up and down arrow at an even pace.
Does Bu Dam only appear in 3rd mix or does 4th mix have it as well? Ideally I'd like to put in 4th mix plus
A normality test: +++ATH
If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.
