Best Use For an Old Fruit iMac

Post by SoDeepPolaris »

Trust me, it was fun. This edit was completely done on my Windowsbox but every clip involved my old iMac. *wink wink*

EDIT: Really basic tricks, it was just for the idea of skating on an iMac. Sam's probably the only person who will somewhat understand it.

Dunno, I was throwing it out so I removed the hard drive(and speakers, still work, so I wanted to do something with em cause they look pretty cool), and the RAM(all 64mb of it) was trashed so it really isn't in operating condition at the moment.

But for fun, I did plug it in and the power supply still works. :P

I was surprised I didn't crack the case anywhere. Even putting about 170lbs(me) on it didn't crack the monitor.

cess slide off roof

you need a higher rail you'll never be able to pull off good tricks with such a low rail

I skate street, that's just a cheap ass p-rail(it's a basketball goal post).

But I coulda atleast tapped the mac and TTS'd or something.

And yeah, even though it's low I can throw topsoul 5's and crap like that off it.

if you skate street what's the point? learning tricks on a low rail only means you'll be able to pull said tricks off on a curb. you need to get a rail that's at least 1' off the ground so you can learn how to properly jump so you'll be able to reach hand rails...1.5' to 2' would really be a better height though. i liked the stall to royal...although it's so easy to do royals now with skates ever since USD came around

a fun switchup to try is top soul to switch dead-machio to acid soul...doing it ally-oop looks that much more pimp...oh do i miss the days of rail dancing...i'll have to get some new skates

Royales were alot harder in the M12 days, but skating now is much more stylish than back in the Hoax days (don't get me wrong, I love Hoax).

The rail is just a boredom reliever, when I can't get out and skate. I have no desire to build anything worth skating at home (neighborhood is lame and has regulations on what you can have in your driveway, otherwise I'd have a 15-20' ledge out there in a heartbeat. If nothing else it helps me get used to spotting spins into grinds and switchups.

Yeah, I do hit handrails. Handicaps, too. But I don't get to session much in Ft. Wayne because other bladers are busy alot and the spots suck/are instant busts. Which makes me kind of a park grom.

dead-makio? Haven't heard that in a long time.

My favorite switchup I can do is either topacid to bs royale(easy chill trick) or soul to truespin topacid. And truespin mizsou to topsoul.

Full cab kindgrinds are fun too, but not a switchup.

EDIT: Oh yeah, here's a good video of what today's skating looks like if you've been out of it for awhile
http://abwear.net/video/BrentSargent_TheFood_.mov

This isn't the best stuff, but it's pretty sick.

I remember watching Brain Fear Gone with my friend for the first time. He had ordered it the minute it was for sale. It WAS lifechanging.

Now whenever I talk to people, they either love it in the way I do or hate it because of the editing/tricks.

Effing groms have no appreciation.
