That Fun Place - R.I.P.

Post by Cbav »

So i don't think its been too badly advertised, but Greenfield has ITG2 at That Fun Place.

The pad is in ace condition, left pad works great because i use it, right pad is in breaking in stage i believe. Anyway, here's a video doc i made of TFP.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCHfwj-dLgg

The machine:

75c for 3 songs
Both pads are in Ace condition.
3 fans surrounding you (they suck... i'm talking to my boss about getting new ones)
Generally it's pretty un-crowded, other than weekends. But hey? who doesn't like some attention.

Also, right next door is a Big Lots that sells energy drinks for 60 cents. Take note those of little sleep...

Fun fact: only 3 posts at IndyDDR.com contain the word "boop."

This place is okay, too pricey for me (drive = ~$5, game = 75¢). This MUST be one of the older revisions. When I went today, I expected to do badly on the harder (11+) songs, but I at least thought I'd be able to get 98+'s on songs I could SDE/99+, but that was not the case. The syncing was reminiscent of like, R1. Also, the 2P Left arrow didn't like to register too much.

Aside from the cost being too high (for me) and the machine being meh, it seems like a good place to play through the week. Its rather calm, all the attract sounds are off to the other games, which is good, and there's plenty of seating/food in the restauraunt area. However, on the weekend, this place seems like it'd be as annoying as a Chuck E' Cheese. Having a tube-playland will attract lots of annoying little kids.

Also, they have ICE BALL, the bane of all skee-balls. Watch out.

Agreed on both counts.

Yeah, the weekends are a bit rediculous due to the constant attention from the kids and parents.. the usual, "You should be a river dancer!" as they walk away cleverly. I got that 3 times in one day. =[

yeah.. Who puts their name in as RIO in the highscores? Bitch stole my Destiny Expert rank. :P

Its the correct link, it just doesn't allow outside linkage, so go to the page and then copy the url, and then put it in again. Sorry if you have to work hard for your comedy :-p
