What the fuck? DDR X3 vs. DDR 2nd mix? The titles for these games man...

Did they effectively bring back all the relevant 2nd mix songs in X2 or whatever?

For those who think this is TL;DR, a DDR 2nd Mix mode is available and has all songs INCLUDING Boom Boom Dollar.

That's pretty cool actually. It would be fucking great if they redid 5th Mix and added in mods / HD but holy shit there is no way I'd hold my breath for that.

I guess 2nd mix was crazy popular in Japan at the time.

PLEASE tell me one accesses 2nd Mix mode by hitting <<>> on the cabinet selection buttons at the main title screen (prior to game start).

Also, the SSR code had better do SOMETHING.
A normality test:

If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

e-Amuse for this game (and REFLEC BEAT limelight) starts later this month. So X3 is most likely coming at the end of the month.

And to back that up arcades are saying they're getting X3 this month.

Also, I think we all agree that if they actually bring this over here the build quality must be at least respectable.

Released today in Asia.

Follow the news here: http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewt ... eadid=4002

Apparently there are no Western licenses, so that most likely means no western release. Figured they would give up after 2 tries with the new cabinet.

Edit: unless they're giving us region-exclusive licenses? Doubt it though.

2nd paragraph. X3 will NOT be released stateside. I'm okay with this if it means potentially moving away from Betson finally.

Looks like the X3 upgrade is coming out on the 30th. I better mark it on my calendar to make my triannual trip to the arcade...

The only thing we don't really have here are Technika, XG, and jubeat but of course we (Indiana) are the spoiled few I guess. Japan arcades are fucking great for fighting games though and I'd probably go often if I was in Nippon and it was convenient for me to do so (ie. the game center is near the Shiburo rail line station that I take to go home).

Yes, there are plenty of obscure music games that we don't have, apologies for not being all-inclusive.

Reflec Beat isn't really obscure now... as far as Japan of course.
