If my next door neighbor was blaring really loud music, and keeping my family up at night, I wouldn't want to walk over there, walk into his house, and beat the shit out of him. A woman would walk over there and do everything she could to get the stereo turned down without anyone getting hurt, yet have some protection on hand in the event that something got ugly, as opposed to making everything ugly at first.
See in a situation like this, the neighbor probably has a lot invested in his loud music. For example, maybe he has a very active social life, and loves to throw grand parties. A woman can go over and ask him nicely, but the world just isn't run by goodwill towards thy neighbor. Maybe she can fix this problem, but I don't know how.

Men can be subtle. Obviously, you won't get what you want by threatening or outright attacking someone who has done something to offend you. I would do this: put on bloodshot contact lenses and a big trenchcoat. Maybe some steel-toed boots. Walk over, introduce myself as his neighbor, invite myself in, and let him know that I was trying to sleep but i'm very happy he's having a party. Then i'd turn into the guest from hell... spill my beer, break stuff, hit on his girl, etc. My problem becomes his problem, and he better fix it fast.

One of my friends was serving lunch at school(at my school we have tiny little jobs that we do on a regular basis), and a freshman who is suspected of being gay(I don't see any reason why it should matter, just gossip bait) gets veggie pizza when we have pizza. She commented on it to me later, by saying guess what pizza HE gets, veggie. I asked why it mattered and she said it came off kind of homosexual. Well, this bothered me a ton, because there's no link between not eating meat and being homosexual. I asked her what about the girls who got veggie and she didn't act like that was gay to do.
Well, she probably thought something like this: Man likes meat. So man w/o meat must be gay. Or because maybe he was being conscious of his food decisions or maybe he's for animal rights. The assumption is that guys are supposed to be the big meat eaters so it's odd to some people when they don't eat meat.

It seems that women are generally the ones who worry about their diet, where most men do not. This doesn't mean that men don't eat healthy, plenty of them do...you just don't see many men counting calories very often, or any of that.

On a sort of related note, there seem to be people out there who think I'm gay, at least from a first impression standpoint. My guess is probably because I have long hair, but oh well. I don't think it makes me look gay. :?

Anyone else ever hear something like that?
Ah, yes. This can fit into the usual Stereotypical Bullshit that we experience day by day.

I hear things like that all the time. "If a guy wears pink, they're not a real man." Uh........WAKE UP PEOPLE! I wear pink, I'm a man, and I think it looks quite good on me. Casey wears pink as well, and he looks better than I do in it. As well as a select few others I see at GW frequently. Hell. You can't even walk in the mall without seeing a guy in pink, and they'll act like "typical" guys.

Another I've heard. "Guys who listen to/make electronic dance Music are Gay." BULLSHIT. I listen to it because I like it. It has a very nice, uplifting beat to it, you can move easily to it, it nice to just listen to or drive to, and a lot of my NON-Gay guy friends, even some of my gay ones, listen to it, and more of my NON-Gay friends than gay ones.

I fucking hate that shit. No offense, of course, but it sounds like your friend needs to wake up. Times are changing, and people along with them.

personally I have a vendetta against guys who wear pink if they think it makes them more secure in their manhood. If you think you're cooler because you wear pink, I hate you. If you wear pink because it's just another color, I don't care. Just don't pop your collar.

Those shirts that say "tough guys wear pink" just get on my nerves. If that statement is true, then be a tough guy, and wear pink. Having to state that, on a pink shirt, shows that there is some fear and insecurty in wearing the pink shirt, whether you like pink shirts or not. Wear pink because you like it and it can bring a brighter variety to your wardrobe. Oh, and btw, I've been a vegan for 2 years and have no attraction to men sexually.
Yeah, whatever, blah.

This is just a matter of personal preference, but I don't like the color pink, on guys or girls. I'd be willing to bet that a good 75 to 80% of the guys you see wearing pink are only doing it because it's the in thing to do now, and it'll fade away with the next big fashion trend.
If you wear pink because you genuinely like it, go ahead, more power to ya. If you wear it because 'OMG it's so gonna get me laid!!1!1," well...I dunno, get a hobby.

But never did I say that. All I said was I like to wear it. I generally like to wear anything I think I look good in. There are certain things that I will never wear because they don't appeal to me. NEVER will you EVER see me in ANYTHING just because I think it makes me cooler/sexier/because I want to belong with the crowd/whatever.

Just to clear that up.

Sorry for the double post, but I just saw this.

As mentioned in the above post, I don't follow trends. I do what I like.

And I agree with you. The average guy will probably wear something to fit in, belong, or get some action in the bedroom. If you were to walk into a school right now, while still in session, you probably see like 500 guys dressed the same way. Why? That's their way of saying "Look! I'm just like you. PLEASE Don't reject me." It's nonsense.

In high school I followed no trends, I didn't do shit of what the "In"-crowd
did. People gave me stares and taunts, but I was still accepted because I was just being myself. So, I NEVER liked trends.

And now, You'd probably see me in A store like Hollister or Abercrombie or even American Eagle to do shopping. Belive it or not, I still shop at Hot Topic. I couldn't live without that store. Now people have gone up to me and said "Wow. You dress really well/I like those clothes." And I've never been able to understand it.

Nevertheless, I do what I like. always have always will.

If that makes me a "Trend zombie" so be it.

Just remember, you should NEVER judge a book by the cover alone. Read the text first.

God, I bet it's painful hanging around me, then. XD

.....Wait..................

If I wear pink, OMG, it's gonna get me laid?!?! O_O?? *goes to closet*
XD

You know what, I know that this has nothing to do with differences between men and women, but I was thinking about something today...

I have a friend that, within the last year, just came out of the closet and told us all he was gay. But...all of us KNEW it before he came out. We used to tease him a little, asking him "Are you sure you're not gay?" Has anybody else had this happen?

I shop at a wider variety of stores than I used to. I still shop at hot topic, but I also shop at Kohls, and H&M, to name a few. I avoid Hollister and Abercrombie, not just because they're 'omg trendy!,' but because I don't like the way their clothes look...nor do I feel like being a walking billboard. I don't wear clothes with store logos...blech.
More or less, I Just wear what I think looks good on me, and what I feel comfortable wearing. Right now, I'm wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, combat boots, and a plain black T shirt from H&M. Wendsday, I was wearing black bondage shorts and a white and black shirt with a large dragon emblem on it... So, could be anything.

Wow... H&M. Never would have guessed. o_o

I went there with Luke a few times. Saw a really cute skirt that I almost bought, but refrained......

......so that I could buy the monstrosity of a black bag I carry now. Probably the sweetest purse/bag I've ever had. And I haven't killed it yet. Which is a plus.
